Who we are

MyFutureMapped Ltd is the provider of the MyFutureMapped platform. When a school uses the platform, the school is the data controller for its students' personal data and we act as the data processor on the school's instructions.

What we collect

From school staff we collect account details such as name, work email, role and school. From students we collect survey responses and the career results generated from them. We collect basic technical information needed to keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use student data to train shared AI models.

How AI analysis works

When a student completes a survey, their responses are stripped of identifying details before they are sent for analysis. The AI receives answers, not names. Results are returned to the school's account and shown to the student and authorised staff only.

Lawful basis

Schools determine the lawful basis for processing student data, typically public task or legitimate interests in supporting careers education, in line with their own privacy notices. We process data only as instructed by the school.

Retention

We retain data for as long as a school's subscription is active, and according to the retention settings the school chooses. On request or on account closure, we delete or return personal data within a reasonable period.

Your rights

Individuals have rights over their personal data, including access, correction and deletion. Because schools control student data, requests are usually handled through the school. School staff can contact us to exercise rights relating to their own account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted on a need-to-know basis, and we follow data-minimisation principles throughout the platform.
